Gerry in Madagascar
My dear friend Gerry died earlier today. Nina & I had only know him since our holiday to Venezuela in 1999 when we met in the transit lounge at Madrid airport. Gerry had a propensity to run and always be the first on or off a coach depending on the situation. He became known to us as “The Road Runner”. He possessed an incredible general knowledge and loved quizzes.
In 2001 the two of us went off on a holiday to Madagascar and it turned out to be one of the most memorable occasions of my life, mainly because of the laughs that Gerry & I had. This is the memory of him that I will always cherish.
It is cruel that he was struck down by Multiple Myeloma, a bone disease which, of course, severely curtailed his movements.
God Bless, Gerry, we will truly miss you.

Happy birthday to our "baby". We won't mention your age, but we still think of you as our baby. Have a wonderful day.
